Principal's Message

Dear Parents and Families of Hemingway Elementary School,

It is with great excitement and gratitude that I welcome you to the 2026–2027 school year at Hemingway Elementary School! I am honored to continue serving as your principal and look forward to another year of learning, growth, achievement, and pride.

This year, we continue to embrace our mission of creating “Pathways to Success” for every scholar while celebrating our school-wide identity of “Seven Tribes, One Pride.” Each of our seven tribes represents a unique stage in the educational journey of our scholars, but together, we are one Hemingway Elementary family.

At HES, we want our scholars to understand that they do not have to lose their individuality to belong. We encourage every scholar to be authentically themselves—to discover their gifts, develop their talents, find their voice, and confidently walk their own pathway to success. While we celebrate what makes each of us unique, we also recognize that our greatest achievements happen when we work together.

We are authentically individuals, but collectively, we achieve greatness.

That belief is at the heart of Seven Tribes, One Pride. Every scholar has something valuable to contribute. Every teacher and staff member plays an important role. Every family is an essential partner. When we bring our individual strengths together with a shared commitment to excellence, there is no limit to what Hemingway Elementary School can accomplish.

Our goal remains to provide the very best opportunities for our scholars to become world changers—leaders who think critically, act compassionately, demonstrate good character, and make positive contributions to their communities and beyond. We are committed to providing an environment where every scholar feels safe, seen, supported, challenged, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

Our school's mission remains rooted in high expectations, academic excellence, strong relationships, and a positive and inclusive school culture. We will continue strengthening communication between home and school, fostering creativity and critical thinking, empowering scholars to take ownership of their learning and behavior, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

I firmly believe in the power of community and partnership. I encourage our parents and families to stay connected, communicate with us, attend school events, and become active participants in your child's educational journey. Whether you join us for Grandparents Day, Spirit Week, Donuts for Dads, Muffins for Moms, or one of the many other activities planned throughout the year, your presence makes a difference.

Thank you for entrusting Hemingway Elementary School with your most precious gift—your child. We accept that responsibility with great care and with a commitment to excellence every day.
