Principal's Message

female principal

Welcome to the Hemingway Elementary School, Home of the Tiny Tigers, Where Every Student Matters: Every Moment Counts! It is my pleasure to greet and extend to you an enthusiastic welcome to what we know will be a very exciting year filled with wonderful learning experiences for our students and staff. The faculty and staff at Hemingway Elementary School (HES) are happy to have you join the Tiny Tiger Family. It is our hope that this will be a successful and productive year for you. We are proud of the partnerships that have been established with parents, businesses and the community. Partnerships assist us in building a better school community for our students and in developing future leaders.

Our school theme for the 2022-2023 school year is Growing the Future! During the 2022-2023 school year, we will continue to strive to meet the needs of every child. Growing the future takes a holistic approach in developing the whole child. HES is committed to meeting the social, emotional, physical, behavioral and academic needs of each learner. At HES, we also realize that in order for our students to achieve their potential, having a growth mindset and providing multi- tiered systems of support benefits students, staff, parents and stakeholders. Working collectively and collaboratively, we will continue to learn and grow by working as a T.E.A.M. (Together Everyone Achieves More).

At HES, we feel that open communication between home and school is an essential component to the success of our educational institution. Parents are instrumental and have an important role in educating the children of this community. We welcome your active participation and support during the 2022-2023 school year. Working together, we will reach our collective and individual goals and continue to work to prepare our students in becoming college and career ready. Again, welcome to Hemingway Elementary School, Where Every Student Matters: Every Moment Counts!
